• Charlie has 30 years’ experience as a senior leader in the oil & gas and shipping industries.
• He has significant experience in leading and Influencing roles with Managing, Coaching & Mentoring personnel of both multi-cultural and multi-disciplined teams  with major oil companies in remote locations and difficult conditions..
• Charlies specialty is in FPSO New builds / Conversions, turnarounds/shutdowns, Control of Work and competency / coaching of personnel.
• He has led the teams of two technically challenging FPSO`s in ultradeep water to numerous safe and successful floating hose change-outs and safe cargo tank internal integrity checks.

• Marine Coach for Nationalisation Program in Angola (2 x FPSO)

 Aker Maritime / Bluewater 1997 – 2006

• Marine Supervisor / Superintendent in charge of the preservation of all Marine systems and running with a planned Maintenance program. Involved in the destruction / construction of various plant / structures for new field criteria.

 

Northern Marine Management / Arklow Shipping 1990 – 1997

 

• During my time with in Shipping I served on a variety of vessels. My main source of work was on ULCC and VLCC`s. My responsibilities as an officer were the safe and efficient passage of the vessel during my shift and on loading and discharging operations

• Completion of non-biased competency evaluation of two FPSO Marine crew in their core Marine knowledge identifying what risk exposure existed and implementing recommendations for gap closure..
• Regional Contact for Driving Angolan region to complete Control of Work  OMS level 5 conformance.
• Successful tank entry program on both PSVM and Greater Plutonio FPSO`s with very challenging conditions.  .
• Safely executed Isolation program for completion of UWILD program of PSVM. .
