Background
P.E. expert in integrity and risk management with 25+ years of providing
solutions for Upstream and Midstream assets (wells, well sites, processing
facilities, and pipelines).
Have led noteworthy and complex incident investigations with severe HSE,
legal, and regulatory consequences (pipeline ruptures, facility fires, well
integrity, and other major incidents).
Industry instructor In-Line Inspection, Integrity Management (IM), and
Compliance training courses.
Development and implementation of CFR 49 Parts 192 and 195 pipeline
regulatory compliance programs.
Recognized industry instructor of In-Line Inspection, Integrity Management
(IM), and Compliance training courses.
Direct experience with development and implementation of IM programs for
large-scale global subsea/offshore and onshore operations.
Responsible for governance and development of standards, codes, and
practices including internal company documents and external representation
on API Subcommittee Inspection & Mechanical Integrity (API 510, 570, 572,
573, 574, 576, 577, 578, 580, 581, 583, 584, 585, 586).

staff, site line operations, industry committees, and outside NGOs.
Experience includes on‐site O&M leadership and integrity roles with full
financial and HSE performance accountability.
Development of Greenfield/Brownfield strategies for remote operations
including application of robotics, permanently installed sensors, predictive
analytics, automation, modular maintenance, and inherently safe designs.

Example recent of delivery and achievements
Full‐scale global deployment of non‐intrusive inspection program for
pressure vessel integrity endorsement across Upstream that delivered $500
million in operations cash and eliminated over 600 confined space entries
over a 3-year period.
Reduced onshore buried piping leaks over a 7-year period from 400 per year
to 35 to 40 annually by implementation of a long-term IM program (included
full‐scale computerized risk model and Geographic Information System).
Developed a rapid consequence modelling methodology for integrity
prioritization of well sites that identified over 95% of sites as low
consequence which allowed limited to no spend on IM programs.
Developed and implemented:
Onshore and offshore HAZMAT security plan for 25,000 plus well sites and
major
PSM processing
facilities.
DOT pipeline compliance programs for 192/195 gathering and transmission
lines.
Led incident investigation of ground disturbance incidents and major
revision of company practice that reduced line strike incidents by 75%.
Optimized ASME Section VIII pressure vessel compliance initiatives across
several code and non-code states that resulted in multimillion dollar
savings.
Delivered the following bp first-ever innovations:
Practice for global implementation of Unmanned Aerial Systems for
integrity,
security, and cornerstone of top-down emissions monitoring strategy.
Utilization of x-ray back-scatter defence industry technology for
detection of
wet insulation.
In‐service robotic (ROV) internal inspection of Crude Oil Storage and
condensate tanks in Azerbaijan that eliminated removal from service.
Deployment of Gecko rapid robotic scanner at BPX leading to 300%
reduction in
pressure vessel scanning productivity.
Co-led with Supply Chain Management development of global contracting
strategy that optimized topsides inspection resulting in a 35% improvement
in efficiencies.
Delivery of revolutionary bp practice that provided alternatives to costly
pre-service wall thickness (UT) measurement (baselining) which yielded a
cost savings of $700K to $1 million per major project.
